Lymphatic Drainage Therapy

Gentle, specialized therapy to support your body's natural healing and recovery process.

The lymphatic system is your body's built-in detox and immune network. When it becomes sluggish from surgery, illness, or inactivity, fluid builds up, energy drops, and healing slows.

Manual lymphatic drainage — sometimes called lymphatic drainage massage — uses gentle, rhythmic strokes to stimulate lymph flow, reduce swelling, and support the body's natural ability to heal. It's one of the most effective therapeutic treatments available for post-surgical recovery and immune support.

Common questions

Everything you need to know before your first lymphatic drainage session.

The terms are often used interchangeably, but there is a distinction. Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a clinical technique using very light, precise strokes — it is not a traditional massage. The term 'lymphatic drainage massage' is commonly used by the general public to describe the same treatment. At Béni, we practice certified MLD using the Vodder Technique.

Post-surgical swelling, lymphedema, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, and general immune support are among the most common. Many clients also use it for detoxification and overall wellness.

This depends on your surgeon's guidance and the type of procedure. Generally, sessions can begin within a few days to a week post-op. We always recommend getting clearance from your surgeon first.

It varies depending on your condition and goals. Post-surgical clients often benefit from multiple sessions in the first few weeks. Your therapist will recommend a plan based on your specific needs.

In some cases, yes. If lymphatic drainage is prescribed by a physician for a diagnosed condition, it may be covered. We recommend checking with your insurance provider directly.
